A dynamic mutual funds company is looking to hire a Senior Product Manager with exceptional business acumen and leadership skills to achieve roadmaps and objectives for their investment, sales and marketing goals. The ideal candidate is someone who can plan, develop and execute Go-2-Market Strategies ensuring a consistent client experience both visually and operationally to drive sales growth. Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for developing and implementing a product strategy that aligns to Westwood’s investment direction initiatives. The incumbent will utilize market research, competitive analysis and industry intelligence, as well as internal and external networking to build and sustain a competitive advantage for the company’s products. Content library management on an ongoing basis will be a key critical role with the product manager owning their respective content and data.

  • Work closely with the sales, marketing strategists, product specialists and investment teams to support business objectives. Develop content marketing used for in the field, social media, website, and email campaigns to support business objectives.
  • Develop product positioning, competitive analysis and content marketing that strategically align with the firm’s business objectives across each channel.
  • Responsible for supporting multiple product lines related to the firm’s documents content library using Seismic automation techniques, quality control and data analytics. This includes working directly with the investment, product managers, sales and client service, compliance, and operations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on the commercial marketability and competitiveness of products, analyze the competition and industry trends in key markets, monitor the success of our newly launched and existing products, and stay current on evolving product trends across each market segment.
  • Leveraging industry and functional expertise to ensure products are marketed consistently in each market segment. Focused on developing and delivering new products and delivering changes to existing products or programs to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Manage, develop and support the firm’s strategic product roadmap including market analysis and competitive research to identify new growth opportunities for product development acquisition.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing or economics; MBA or CFA preferred
  • 10+ years of product management experience within the financial services industry
  • Exceptional time management abilities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with the ability to develop strong working relationships and partnerships across different departments and with clients
  • A strong business sense – the ability to create product strategy from understanding market problems and opportunities
  • Proven technical aptitude
  • A strong customer orientation with a “How can I help?” approach.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
