Duration: 6 months
Under limited supervision, builds complex recurring/ad hoc investment performance reports. Sources and integrates data from internal and third party performance tools.
Builds complex performance reports using tools such as Crystal/Oracle/Eagle. Leverages query tools including SQL to efficiently extract data from performance systems.
Builds and maintains highly complex spreadsheet/database models to integrate source data. Troubleshoots and resolves issues. Updates to incorporate content and product line enhancements.
Leverage relational database and reporting tools to efficiently extract performance data from third party index providers and performance measurement systems.
Reconcile and update various systems to maintain consistency.
Understanding of the investment industry with excellent analytical skills.
Highly developed Excel and/or Access skills, including VBA and querying data from complex relational databases using SQL.
Experience building complex reports (using Excel, Access, Crystal Reports).
Experience with industry performance tools such as Eagle, Bloomberg, FactSet, Lipper LANA, and/or Morningstar Direct desired.
Innovative, idea-generator with a passion for identifying/implementing sound, pragmatic solutions and troubleshooting issues.
Strong ability to foster strong relationships with cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
Curiosity and a desire to learn, including taking on challenging new assignments.
Ability to meet demanding deadlines and strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing.
Hands-on work style and “can do” attitude with a strong desire to make things happen. Ability to adapt to change as well as acting as a change agent when necessary.
Self-starter, positive “can do” attitude that helps overcome challenges and barriers.
Experience or knowledge with Bloomberg or Reuters.
3-5 years of related experience in a performance function of the investment industry.
